![]() One should adhere to the supplications which are proven from the Quran and Hadith of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and his companions (Radhiallahu Anhum) “And Allah’s are the best names, therefore call on Him thereby, and leave alone those who violate the sanctity of His names they shall be recompensed for what they did” That one who attributes to Allah Ta’ala a name which is not befitting to His Majesty has indeed violated the sanctity of His Names and is threatened with a severe punishment. It is not permissible to attribute to Allah Ta’ala a name except that it is found in The Holy Quran or the Authentic Ahaadeeth of The Holy Prophet (saw). Ya Buhaan, Ya Sultaan, Ya Musta’een, Ya Ma’ruf, Ya Ajeeb. It is also not permissible to read such a dua nor relate it because it contains words that are impermissible to be attributed to Allah Ta’ala such as “Whosoever attributed any falsehood to me deliberately, he should in fact find his abode in the Hell-Fire” In another Hadeeth, The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: “Whoever transmits a saying ascribing it to me and he knows that it is a lie, then he is one of the liars” The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: It is not permissible to attribute this Dua to Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) Furthermore, whatever virtues related to this Dua are also fabricated and has no basis in Islam. This Dua is a fabrication against The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him).It has no basis and cannot be proven from any reliable sources.
